- (1891-1978)British dramatist and novelist. He was taken to London from Vienna at the age of four. He was a founding member of the Jewish Drama League and later its secretary. He reviewed fiction for the Jewish Chronicle and subse-quently became its theatre critic. His publications include The Kerrels of Hill End and / Gatecrashed.
